Over 1,300 turkey dinners were distributed to Southwest Florida families on Thursday, November 18. The turkey distribution was the second of five that St. Matthew’s House is conducting as part of their Hope for the Holidays campaign.
The turkey dinners, which included side dishes and dessert, were boxed up for distribution on Monday, November 15.
Thanksgiving is a holiday commonly centered around food and being able to share a meal with those you love, so it means a lot to families to receive a turkey dinner and be able to have some semblance of normalcy in this not-so-normal year.
Thank you to all the volunteers who came out in the overcast, grey, rainy weather to help us make a difference in the community.
