Last week, we teamed up with the Collier County NAACP to bring help and hope to the River Park community which had been hit hard by Hurricane Ian.
The NAACP cleaned up nearly 70 homes when we came on October 15 to join their efforts along with volunteers from Adult & Teen Challenge St. Louis. Together, we gutted four houses and provided hot meals to those in need. It’s just doing what we can to let the people of River Park know that they have a community that cares for them.
We’ve got a lot more work to do; the rebuilding process isn’t going to be quick or easy, but together as a community, we can make it happen. We hope to continue partnering with the Collier County NAACP to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
If you’d like to help our relief efforts, you can either give to the St. Matthew’s House Hurricane Ian Fund, donate supplies (hygiene products, clothing, pantry staples) or get registered as a volunteer.
