On Monday, April 11, a crowd of men and women arrived at the Tiburón Golf Club to compete in the 24th annual Dean Lind Memorial Golf Classic. One of those men was Daniel Smith, a 2019 graduate of our Justin’s Place Recovery Program.
After years of struggling with an opioid addiction, being incarcerated and at one point clinically dying from an overdose, Daniel arrived in Naples wary of whether the program would stick but determined to give it a shot. Now, almost four years later, Daniel is sober, living in Michigan with his wife and son and working as a project manager.
Daniel shares his story as a testament to bring hope to others that through the grace of God and a holistic program like the one at Justin’s Place, lives can be changed.
