Earlier this year, at the Celebration of Philanthropy, the Collier Community Foundation honored St. Matthew’s House with the Harvey Kapnick Award.
St. Matthew’s House was one of the organizations recognized at the Celebration of Philanthropy for community service work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Harvey Kapnick Award specifically is presented to a nonprofit organization that has exemplified program excellence.
It’s an esteemed honor to be the recipient of such an award, and we’re so grateful to be a part of this generous community as we continue bringing hope to people across Southwest Florida.
Since March of 2020, we’ve been able to help more than 350,000 famlies, and this year we’ve already seen a 46% increase in number of famlies fed. Though the pandmeic may be slowing down, the need for food assistance continues with rising inflation, so we’ll continue partnering with organizations like Harry Chapin Food Bank and Midwest Food Bank of Florida to provide food assistance for those in need. For a full a list of our upcoming food distributions, visit our Food Pantry & Direct Assistance page.
