Today, thousands of our neighbors in Southwest Florida struggle with
hunger, homelessness & addiction.

Together, we can change that.

This season, your support can help bring new life to those overcoming addiction, hunger, and homelessness—just like Wayne.

For over 35 years, St. Matthew’s House has tackled challenges born from the needs of Southwest Florida.

Our unique social enterprise business model helps cover the administrative expenses for the organization, so donations go toward our program expenses.
Hunger

Nearly 152,000 individuals experience food insecurity in Southwest Florida every year.

Homelessness

Collier and Lee County Homeless Coalitions identified more than 1,500 adults and more than 1,700 children experiencing homelessness in our communities.

Addiction

In 2023, Florida’s 7,769 accidental overdose deaths were the 2nd most nationally.

Under-employment

Individuals recovering from crisis find great difficulty securing living wage jobs.

Your Next Step toward the Journey Together

Together with our partners and participants, we cultivate communities where people are progressively seen, accepted, challenged, and supported.

A Message from St. Matthew’s House
On 4/10/25, a person drove their vehicle into our thrift store at 2601 Airport Road. Several individuals were injured, and our hearts go out to them and their families.
We are grateful for our staff and emergency personnel who responded with courage and compassion in the moment. Out of respect for those affected and to support the ongoing investigation, we are limited in what we can share publicly.
The store is temporarily closed to shoppers, but donation drop-off and administrative offices remain open. We are actively working to support impacted team members, volunteers and shoppers.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we walk forward in faith and care for one another.
