Bill Curry joined the St. Matthew’s House family as vice president of development in the fall of 2021.
Previously, Bill worked for Breakthrough Urban Ministries in Chicago where he, his wife and three children lived in Chicago’s East Garfield Park to be near and to learn from the community residents served by Breakthrough. During his 21 years with Breakthrough, Bill founded a youth development pipeline, and oversaw adult programs such as shelters, workforce development, violence prevention and permanent housing. Administratively, he led strategic planning initiatives, fundraising efforts and capital campaigns.
Bill is a dynamic leader who’s passionate about creating networks of opportunity and support for people who find themselves in the margins of society. He earned his bachelor’s in education from Cedarville University in Ohio and his master’s in nonprofit administration from North Park University in Chicago.
Bill and his wife, Marcie Curry, Ed.D., have three children ages 23, 21 and 19. In his free time, Bill enjoys being involved with the sport of basketball at all levels of play.
