Each month, Spotlight brings you the latest organizational news, event highlights and opportunities to get involved.

In May we partnered up with GL Homes to provide a new playground for the families in our transitional housing community in Golden Gate. The ribbon-cutting occurred on May 13, and since then, the playground has been full of laughter and cheer as more than 50 children now have a safe space to play while their parents continue their journey back to self-sufficiency.

Earlier this month we’ve rolled out the start of our Summer Match Campaign! We’re hoping to raise $250,000 by the end of June to support our end goal of raising $800,000 by the end of summer! This is all made possible thanks to those who sponsored this match including the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, St. John’s Episcopal Church and other anonymous donors.

Next month, we’re hosting our triannual Justin’s Place graduation at Covenant Church. We invite you to join us on July 16 as we celebrate individuals who have completed their 12-month journey in our recovery program.

And finally, we’d like to share a new volunteer opportunity that we’re set to launch this summer.

Thank you for supporting St. Matthew’s House; we couldn’t do this work without you!
