An art exhibit in Naples is shining a light on homelessness and the stories behind it. The “Faces Beyond Homelessness” exhibit at the Wendy Wagner Fine Art Gallery shares stories of strength and second chances through portraits.
Each portrait represents someone in Southwest Florida who has experienced homelessness and found hope through St. Matthew’s House.
“This was our attempt to lend a little bit of humanity to tell the unique stories of every individual that you see behind me and that have been displayed through these beautiful portraits,” said Ben Bridges, CEO and president of St. Matthews House. “Every story is unique and every story tells us this beautiful story, not just of the experience and the trials that they’ve, you know, confronted, but the way that they’ve been restored and overcome those trials.”
