LuLu’s Kitchen has been an important part of the St. Matthew’s House story for more than five years, connecting the community to our mission while creating opportunities for life transformation.

As St. Matthew’s House enters a new season of growth and strategic alignment; LuLu’s Kitchen will temporarily close during the summer months while we thoughtfully plan its next chapter.

After more than five years of operation, we believe this is the right time to refresh the concept and ensure it remains both mission-driven and financially sustainable for the future.

Like many hospitality businesses in Southwest Florida, summer represents a period of lower seasonal activity, making it an ideal time to evaluate opportunities, engage stakeholders, and prepare for a strong relaunch in Fall 2026.

We are especially excited about elevating the workforce development components of LuLu’s Kitchen, creating additional opportunities for participants to develop skills, build confidence, and gain meaningful experience that supports long-term independence. This vision aligns with St. Matthew’s House’s broader commitment to creating pathways from crisis to contributor.

We are also exploring ways to create a unique and meaningful customer experience that more deeply connects guests with our mission and the lives being transformed through it.

We are grateful for everyone who has contributed to LuLu’s Kitchen’s success over the past five years and look forward to building on that foundation as we prepare for its Fall 2026 relaunch.
