FORT MYERS, Fla. — Darya Taeb, an 11-year-old girl, is working to help homeless children and their families in Fort Myers by donating proceeds from her handmade crafts to St. Matthew’s House Women and Children’s Shelter.
Darya recently presented a check for $1,020 to the shelter, a sum she raised by selling hundreds of beaded pens and bracelets she made by hand.
