Cheryl Sheldon says without the St. Matthew’s House food distributions, she and her family wouldn’t have eaten.
In the final days before Thanksgiving, St. Matthew’s House continues distributing full Thanksgiving meals including turkeys and all the fixings to those in need across Southwest Florida.
On Monday, November 22, St. Matthew’s House distributed more than 700 meals as part of our Hope for the Holidays turkey distribution. There was such a high demand that we decided to do a “Pop-Up” distribution on Tuesday, November 23 as well!
After the distribution, St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church threw a “Thank You” lunch for the volunteers from the church as well as some St. Matthew’s House staff. We’re so appreciative to St. Elizabeth Seton for being a strong neighborhood partner and helping us make a difference in the Golden Gate community.
