On calendars, September 06, 2021, marked Labor Day as a holiday, a time for many to celebrate the achievements of workers across the country. But for millions of Americans, the holiday was just another reminder of the difficult times that surround us. Especially now that federal unemployment benefits ended; it’s going to be that much harder to make ends meet.
Through it all, St. Matthew’s House remains strong providing a source of sustenance for the less fortunate in Collier County and the surrounding communities. On Monday, St. Matthew’s House was able to provide over 400 people with a steak dinner at our Campbell Lodge shelter.
