Naples Ferrari Club and St. Matthew’s House to Celebrate Record-breaking Results from 15th Annual Cars on 5th Show
Naples, FL (February 19, 2019) – The Naples Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America’s annual Cars on 5th fundraising event raised a record $400,000 in support of St. Matthew’s House and attracted tens of thousands of car enthusiasts to downtown Naples.
Vann Ellison, President and CEO of St. Matthew’s House said, “The Ferrari Club of Naples has been an invaluable community partner to St. Matthew’s House by providing critical funding for our soup kitchen, homeless shelters, and addiction recovery programs.”
The media and members of the community are invited to attend a special celebration and check presentation on Friday, February 22, at 2PM. It will be held in the Campbell Lodge Courtyard at 2001 Airport Road South in Naples. Leadership from the Ferrari Club of Naples and St. Matthew’s House will be in attendance.
The event once again raised critically important funds for St. Matthew’s House to help the homeless and those in need in the Naples area. More than $220,000 has been raised at each of the last two Cars on 5th shows to benefit the work of St. Matthew’s House. However, this year the event raised a record breaking $400,000 to support the mission of St. Matthew’s House.
Tom O’Riordan, President of the Ferrari Club of Naples said, “Our goal of the show is to create a great experience for all participants and raise money for St. Matthew’s House. This year we had 607 great cars including 125 Ferraris, a new Ferrari Scuderia area, a MarineMax display, two great bands, and a beautiful Southwest Florida day.”
“Our goal to reduce the crowd size was welcomed by the car owners, residents, and city leaders. The owners had better interaction with the crowd. The congestion was reduced. The shops and restaurants reported the best sales of the year. In turn, we raised $400,000 for St. Matthew’s House, a 70% increase from last year,” O’Riordan continued.
Sponsorship of the event was provided by Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale, Seminole Casino Hotel in Immokalee, Brown & Brown, Naples Daily News, Bank of America, Key Bank, Wells Fargo Advisors, US Trust, MarineMax, MacNiven State Farm, Naples Luxury Imports, Tire Choice, Suncoast Credit Union, Jet It, and Beach Bugz.
