Michael Vallee
Director of Ministries and Programs
St. Matthew's House
In his role as Director of Ministries and Programs, Mr. Vallee is responsible for the
development and implementation of policies and procedures related to resident programs at St. Matthew's House. Along with supervising the program staff, he also functions in the role of trainer and mentor for the Unit Manager, Program Staff Manager and Case Management staff.
Prior to joining St. Matthew's House, Mr. Vallee held positions with both HCT-
ManorCare and Encore Senior Living serving in a myriad of roles culminating in his becoming Regional Director over 14 Assisted Living facilities. His career in the mental health field includes four years at The Willough at Naples from 1994-1998, where he seviced as both an admissions and chemical dependency counselor. He was also employed by Abuse, Counseling and Treatment Center of Ft. Myers where was a certified Anger Management and Domestic Violence counselor.
Mr. Vallee's experience also includes a military career as staff sergeant in the US Army for four years, where he garnered several medals including a National Defense Service Medal for his contribution to Operation Desert Storm in Iraq. He has also been awarded medals for Meritorious Service and Good Conduct. Mr. Vallee received an Honorable Discharge from the Army in 1992.
A native of Rochester, Michigan, Mr. Vallee holds a B.A. in Psychology from Oakland University, and is currently working on his Master's Degree in mental health counseling at Florida Gulf Coast University.
