St. Matthew's House
As Chief Financial Officer of St. Matthew's House, Mr. Hoegsted is responsible for all the financial operations of St. Matthew's House, including the operations of Facilities, Kitchen, Wolfe Apartments, and the Thrift Stores.
Mr. Hoegsted brings to St. Matthew's House close to 40 years of experience, the last 10 as Controller for First Baptist Church of Naples. Prior to this, he spent 20 years with Westinghouse Communities, the original developer of Pelican Bay and Pelican Marsh, as a staff accountant, controller, and Executive Vice President. This followed a military tour in the US Army serving as Business Manager of the United States Armor Association and three years as an auditor with a CPA firm in Bethesda, MD.
Lou was born in Aurora, IL and raised in Savannah, GA. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Accounting. Since moving to Naples in October of 1980 he has served as a Board Member of the YMCA, Chamber of Commerce member, and was part of the inaugural class of Leadership Collier. His experience also includes 20 years on the Board of the Coller County Fair.
Lou and his wife Kathy live in Naples, and have three children and four grandchildren. He enjoys the beach, golf, and is an avid reader.
