As Communications and Event Officer, Julie Clay works in the Development department of St. Matthew's House coordinating fundraising events and as the media contact for the organization. Ms. Clay creates all brochures, flyers, advertising and other collateral for St. Matthew's House, as well as writing press releases and overseeing the company website.
Ms. Clay is also a freelance writer specializing in lifestyle articles and cofounder of Messi Kids, Inc. with her husband, Edward Clay. Prior to St. Matthew's House, Ms. Clay was a copywriter in the marketing department for MeriStar Hotels and Resorts, Inc. where she wrote collateral and advertising copy for over a hundred hotels around the country.
Prior to her writing career, Ms. Clay spent over a decade in broadcasting as a radio programmer and announcer, where she garnered awards for her vocal and production work. Ms. Clay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Emerson College.
Ms. Clay lives in Naples, FL with her husband and two sons.
